A LITTLE RECAP OF OUR PROGRAM
The season starts off with an assessment day, where teams are picked evenly with our amazing Coaches. Of course... ALL TOWNS ARE WELCOME TO PLAY & COACH!
In Griswold, we are lucky to have such a large enrollment we can play 100% in house!
No running from town to town, just a simple schedule all on the Griswold Campus!
This year, we brought back the successful parent-friendly schedule so you will know exactly what the season will look like! (You asked for it, so we made it happen!)
Remember...
This is not the Travel Wolverines program, their tryouts are in October.
This is for Rec kids, of all skill levels, looking to have fun & improve their skills.
Travel players will not be able to play in the Rec program.
Why?
Travel Wolverine Basketball is a true travel league.
Playing against the best players around CT in the CBC league!
Creating a decade of future GMS/GHS talent...
playing other highly competitive players and improving their skills.
What is the Benefit to the Rec Program?
Rec kids get more opportunities to develop, shoot, dribble, pass and all the core fundamentals at practices/games. Helping those players standout, have fun & build self-confidence as a team.
Stay in the loop for more surprises that I cannot announce yet!

GREAT QUESTIONS FROM A PARENT!
-
Is this for 2 hours on a Saturday? (Or one hour)?
-
Any weekends where there is no practice/game?
-
Is it a drop off activity?
-
Can we stay and watch sometimes? And if so, can I bring younger siblings?
-
Are any special shoes or equipment needed?
-
We supply the equipment for practice, but having a ball at home is a great idea to practice. Especially dribbling.
-
Water bottle is a must! High top basketball shoes (fully laced up) are highly suggested especially to prevent ankle issues, sprains, etc.
